ROOT 66 is the community for 16–25s at Bethany City Church in Sunderland. A place to meet people, explore faith, ask honest questions and grow together.
New here? You don't need to know anyone. Just turn up.
So, what is ROOT 66?
ROOT 66 is a community of 16–25 year olds from across Sunderland's universities, colleges and workplaces. We meet every week to open the Bible together, talk honestly about life and faith, pray for one another and build friendships that go beyond Thursday night.
Moving to a new city, starting a course, or working out what comes next can be a lonely business. ROOT 66 exists so that nobody has to figure it out on their own. You don't need a church background, and you don't need to have anything worked out.

Thursday nights
Every Thursday · 7–8pm
One hour that's genuinely worth your week. We catch up on how everyone is really doing, open a passage of the Bible, talk it through properly, and pray for each other.
It's relaxed. It's honest. There's usually something to eat. Nobody expects you to have all the answers, and new faces are welcome any week of the year.
Come once. Come every week. Just come as you are.
